The National Talent Search Exam (NTSE), initially known as NSTSS (National Science Talent Search Scheme), is a scholarship examination held nationally to identify and enhance students’ skills, logical reasoning, and mental ability. This all-India competitive examination occurs annually for class 10 students in two stages – Stage 1 (State-Level) & Stage 2 (National Level). To be eligible for the scholarship, candidates must clear both exams.
Students have the option to apply for the NTSE 2024 exam online or offline. Students residing in India and those studying in other countries are eligible for NTSE. The main objective of the NTSE exam is to assess specific abilities in students. The Stage 1 examination is conducted by SCERT or state authorities, while Stage 2 is at the national level by NCERT. Qualifying for Stage 1 allows students to appear for Stage 2. The NTSE exam consists of two papers – Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) & Mental Ability Test (MAT). Each paper has 100 questions worth 1 mark each, and students have 2 hours for each paper. Out of all applicants, 2000 candidates are shortlisted and awarded monthly scholarships.
For students aiming to excel in NTSE, enrolling in Best NTSE coaching institutes in India or taking Top NTSE exam preparation courses can significantly enhance their chances of success. These Leading NTSE coaching centers provide expert guidance, practice materials, and strategies to help students perform well in both stages of the NTSE exam and secure the prestigious scholarship.
